The athletic department at Glen Cove High School hosted a College Bound Recognition Day on April 14 for graduating seniors who have committed to play collegiate sports in their respective academic institutions.

Athletic Director Denise Kiernan led the event, which was attended by students and their families, coaches, guidance counselors, Glen Cove High School administrators, Superintendent of Schools Maria Rianna and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Dr. Michael Israel.

“Nothing could be more exciting than celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the students before you today,” Kiernan said. “Playing at the collegiate level requires a tremendous amount of desire, determination and focus to be successful.
