The Board of Education, administration and faculty recognized six students during the board of education meeting on Nov. 13. Students were recognized for volunteering their time to assist and teach elementary students and their families during Family STREAM Night.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria Rianna presented each student with a certificate and commended the students for their dedication to the school and the STREAM program.

“The success of programs such as family STREAM night happens when students who are committed and dedicated to their school participate and help them grow. These are the future leaders of our community,” Dr. Rianna said.

The board of education and elementary STREAM teachers Cheryl Carmody and Ken Altamirano also thanked the students for their time and efforts in making the event successful.

Congratulations to Philip Dilgard-Clark, Alex Puspurica , Harrison Velentzas, Phoebe George, Sophia Karathanasis, and Jaida Ciampi.
