Mrs. Hazen and Ms. Orlando's fifth grade class recently completed a lesson on Martin Luther King, Jr. in observance of the leader’s birthday. The lesson taught the students about Dr. King’s life and work. Each student then created friendship hands with words of peace on them. Later, the students partnered to make a creation using play-doh that they felt represented MLK and wrote a brief explanation about their creation.
